Even sponsored athletes in training take time off. Tater and family recently spent a few days on the water in Hood River, Oregon.
Tater is now 15 weeks old and 29lbs. Healthy, happy, and growing quickly.
From a training perspective Bob has been working on building a strong basic foundation that's required for a search and rescue dog. This includes socialization (humans and other animals) and obedience (sit, stay, return) basics. Tater is very 'play driven' and thus responds well to rewards that involve his toys (as opposed to food for example) and human interaction. He's started some basic search and find exercises - such as locating via scent upwind a person hiding nearby with one of his toys.
Bob and Tater also dropped by the store yesterday to pick up some gear. Looking good in red!
